Design for Print

This session was really helpful in showing us how to create a book file ready to send off to the printers from indesign

 In Indesign go to file - Print Booklet.

 Within the printer settings make sure you have your document landscape and also have the crop marks and work is centred.

Then the drop down menu where your printer option is.. Click on Postscript File
Then in the drop down menu below (PPD) chose either the colour or black and white printer.

Then go to Printer.. and click Two Sided - Short Edge

When you have a Postscript file it does not let you decide the quality of your print you want. So what you can do is open the Postscript file then click on the drop down menu at the top and chose your quality.

 This will then create a PDF for you.
