When speaking with Joe Gilmore today we were discussing layout, and the kind of things to look for:

1. Experiment as much as possible within a grid and once you have found a design of layout you like how do you then apply this to the other pages?

2. Make sure you do loads of designs of layouts for each separate page including the front cover.

3. Add picture credits/ page numbers/ book name to the page to make in look more like a real book.

4. Look at Jan Tschichold - quite an outdated designer however has simplistic elegant layouts that have a theme running through the designs.

Open publication - Free publishing - More graphic design

When looking at a few fine art and photography books along with Jan Tschichold's book there was a few things I picked up on:

- page number placement
- name of the boko on every page
- page credits
- heirachy of type
- indentation (how much do you indent)
